Publishing project
2021 – 2022
The events of 2020 seemed to steamroll the world, and at the outset of Covid-19, I couldn’t really figure out how to respond artistically to anything that was going on in America.
Books have always been something of a native format for me, and as an attempt to reconcile with the pandemic, I decided to attempt a year-long publishing project. Each book would allow me to capture a specific idea or feelings that the events of the moment manifested. Varying the topics would also allow for pushing the boundaries of content and production methods into whatever direction felt suitable.
Originally intended as a book-a-month project, that idea became too close to the idea of a magazine, and so the project ended up consisting of two mini-trilogies and two large, independent volumes.
