through bankrupt political campaigns and failed crisis response, there is more than enough evidence that the ruling class has completely disconnected from the rest of america and only maintains their projection of representation through an ever-expanding, coordinated media presence.
created during the quarantine days of the pandemic, A Glow In The Static is a series of A3 and A4 prints considering the complete dilution of meaning that our endless stream of words, pictures, sound and video began by contributing to and have since come to represent.
whereas once creation was a culmination of process, effort and consideration into something meaningful; a deluge of ‘content creation’ and on-screen ephemera has reduced any sense of novelty from what it means to make. so i have created this series digitally, though at size to print as posters, more than likely their consumption will be on some tiny phone screen, because that’s just the way things are now.
