Between 2009 and 2012, San Francisco was a land of rapid change. The national economy was still in a crisis, but the Bay seemed to be attracting most of what was left. Valencia Street transformed block-by-block from homey rows of shops with aged painted signs to modernist mixed-use developments. The Occupy camps came and went. Most companies failed to post profits, but somehow everyone was making money.
I never left my apartment without my camera—this is the result.
