Punk rock never dies, it just changes form. This was a five-issue magazine co-created with photographer Brenton Salo as a visual rebellion against the homogenous consumer culture aesthetic presented by 'millennial lifestyle' publications. Content was created to deal with the politics of life and the hypocrisies of modern American media dialogues of identity.
The workload got to a point where more people would have to be involved in maintaining any sort of release schedule—these five issues came out over a three-year period—and that became prohibitive due to my insistence that no money be involved in the project.
Nevertheless, it was a fun little exercise in publishing political work in the post-Occupy moment.
