as my new book Have Fun Doing Nothing is making its way out of the snow on the east coast, i put up the audiobook for the month

the book & song are both about the conflicts of how society tells us to commodify and utilize things like time and feeling, how we’re pressured to have fun in certain situations and do nothing in others, and how having fun doing nothing is either good or bad depending on the context.

in all reality i really dislike how this song came out, but because of that i like it, because i really hate what it’s about, which is why i did something about it to begin with. i guess these things can make sense
